By February 2007, he had ballooned to 297 pounds and, by his own admission, saw himself as a piece of furniture. In looking for an exercise program to alleviate some of his constant pain, Arthur found the YRG Workout, created by Diamond Dallas Page. He gained inspiration and strength from DDP and other members of Team YRG to propel him toward his goal -- "I Will Walk Again!" -- and, ultimately, to blow past it. The video shows how Arthur vividly demonstrates that life is not about how many times you fall down -- it's about how many times you get back up again. |
Former Professional Wrestler Creates Innovative Fitness System That Will Help You Get In Shape Quickly And Easily
LOS ANGELES, CA, Dec. 23, 2009 -- Former world champion professional wrestler Diamond Dallas Page is making a comeback, but this time the wrestling ring has nothing to do with it. For the past 10 years, he has been working on a revolutionary new fitness program called the YRG Fitness System. YRG’s development came to life when doctors told Dallas that his professional wrestling career was over due to a ruptured vertebrae. Never one to give up on anything, Dallas looked everywhere for fitness techniques that could help him regain not only his livelihood, but also his life-long dream. He experimented with yoga, pilates, mixed martial arts training and consulted with many nutritionists and kinesieologists to finally come up with an all-in-one workout that gave him intense cardio, increased strength and new-found flexibility. The amazing thing about Dallas’ workout was that it required NO WEIGHTS, NO MACHINES, AND NO OTHER EQUIPMENT OF ANY KIND.
Dallas Page is not only the creator of the YRG Fitness System, but he is also the first test case. After doing YRG for only a few months himself, it was this fitness system that got him back into the ring allowing him to continue on with his career achieving the ultimate goal in professional wrestling -- he was awarded the World Heavyweight Championship!
The secret to this workout is a unique and revolutionary fitness concept called “DYNAMIC RESISTANCE.” “DYNAMIC RESISTANCE” is the process by which you engage, or flex, your muscles as you move from one position to another. This engagement of muscles does two things simultaneously. It causes the heart to beat faster to pump more blood to the flexed muscle, thus increasing your heart-rate, and by engaging, or flexing, the muscles and moving them from one YRG position to another, the resistance created simulates weight lifting or strength conditioning. Additionally the positions that he has sequenced together provide for amazing flexibility.
With the YRG Fitness System, Dallas has created an all-in-one cardio, strength and flexibility program that works in as little as 20 minutes a day and ONLY 3 DAYS A WEEK.
For the last decade Dallas has been sharing his personal workout with anyone who wanted to change their life for the better. From the 300 pound Gulf War veteran who has lost over 140 pounds with YRG, to the 198 pound 49 year-old woman who wanted to lose 64 pounds before her 50th birthday, to the 292 pound 16 year-old boy who lost 100 pounds and gained new found confidence. The YRG Fitness System works for anyone and everyone regardless of their age, gender or fitness level.
“YRG is about changing lives,” said Dallas, “And I don’t care if you’re trying to lose 200 pounds, 50, 25 or just trying to tone up or take your already warrior body to the next level, I designed YRG to work for everyone at every fitness level. All you need to do is take the first step and I’ll make you reach your goals.”
It was two years ago that Dallas Page hooked up with Executive Producer Jim Paratore, who has launched hits such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Extra, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, and just recently launched Lopez Tonight on TBS with comedian George Lopez. Paratore has helped Dallas take YRG to the next level where it is now ready to be shared with the world. Most recently Dallas became the Fitness Guru for singer and TV host Carnie Wilson who has experienced a lifelong weight problem. During her touring days with Wilson Phillips, Carnie's weight peaked to almost 300 pounds. After gastric bypass surgery she lost 150 pounds and eventually gained most of the weight back. Looking for a new and innovative way to lose the weight and get into shape, Carnie found Dallas Page and the YRG Fitness System. You can watch Dallas and Carnie working together to get healthy on the reality show "Carnie Wilson: Unstapled" on GSN Thursday nights (8/7c). For more information visit, www.gsn.com.
The YRG Fitness System can be easily purchased online at www.yrgfitness.com. It is there that people can also purchase additional YRG workouts, YRG Exercise Mats and YRG Nutritional Supplements.

ABOUT DALLAS PAGE
Former three-time world champion professional wrestler, actor and author, Diamond Dallas Page was born Page Joseph Falkinburg in the beach resort town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. At the ripe age of eight he had made the decision to become one of the larger-than-life professional wrestlers he saw on Saturday TV. Early in his life, Dallas had to deal with many challenges. He grew up in a broken home and suffered from Attention Deficit Disorder and Dyslexia at a time when teachers misunderstood the condition and thought he was slow and un-attentive. Dallas adapted to this challenge; he excelled in sports, became a charismatic and driven leader. Little did he know that he was indirectly laying the groundwork for his future wrestling and entertainment career.
Dallas has suffered through physical and mental hardships throughout his life. He traversed through his teens and into his early thirties with an inability to read at higher than a third grade level. While at the top of his professional wrestling career he suffered what most in the medical profession would consider a career ending injury. It was the YRG Fitness System that allowed him back into the ring to continue on with his life-long dream to be at the top in professional wrestling.
What separates Dallas from the masses is how he deals with his hardships and struggles with the mantra of life being about 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it. His work ethic, tenacity and passion correlate directly with his innate ability to convey his message in real life terms.
