Classic Mike and Mark

Their on-air chemistry: legendary.
Their themed shows: notorious.
Their community calendars: missing.

Way more fun than a "wardrobe malfunction" - this is The World-Famous, Purple Monkey Award-Winning, Mike and Mark Show! Each episode was orginally taped to air on a rotational basis during the 7:00AM hour on LCCC Cable Channel WHR-777.

Many of these shows have been saved from electronic oblivion in a treasure hunt worthy of an "Indiana Jones" movie. Trust us, it was worth all of the mental and physical sacrifice.

ABOUT MIKE AND MARK
The Mike and Mark Show was the creation of both Mike Paciotti and Mark Layman.

Mike Paciotti was one of the founders of Duck Radio. He graduated from Avon Lake High School in the fall of 2002 and went to Lorain County Community College for a semester while still technically considered a high school senior. As a member of the LCCC Radio Club, he originally began broadcasting to the cafeteria during normal lunch hours.

In his first semester as a college student, Mike was awarded the 2002 LCCC Outstanding Media Service & Professionalism Award. In the fall of 2002, Mike attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he worked on the set as a light disigner and a production assistant for Jukebox, an Athens Video Works television program highlighting local music groups.

Mike then transferred from OU back to LCCC. In the spring of 2002, the radio club entered into an arrangement with LCCC's cable television station (microwave signal WHR-777). The radio club members could pre-record hour-long shows to air daily during the 7:00AM hour, on the TV station's audio channel. Mike and Mark Layman jumped at this chance, teaming up to begin one of the most notorius duos in the radio club's history, "The Mike and Mark Show."

Later renamed "Mike and Mark in the Morning," the duo begin to cause quite a buzz with their themed programming, including such shows as "The Top 20 Worst Songs Ever," "Break-Up Songs," "Showtunes," and "All-Talk" as well as other formatted programs. Mark would soon become president of the LCCC Student Senate for the start of a three-year run, but continued to work with Mike on the show.

In 2002 and 2003, the Mike and Mark Show was awarded the "Appreciation Award for LCCC Radio Club," also known as in 2002, the "Purple Monkey Award" and in 2003, the "Prison Monkey Award." The duo's greatest accomplishment to date was in the spring of 2003, when they interviewed Playboy's Miss April 2003, Carmella DeCesare.

Mike has since gone on to become elected as Vice President of Radio Club, and eventually became Club President. On Duck Radio, Mike appeared weekdays from 7AM - 9AM on "Mike in the Morning." He was also joined several days out of the week by Mark, reviving "Mike and Mark in the Morning."

In late 2003 and early 2004, Mike worked alongside Chris "Kewl" Haslage, playing a key role in bringing the radio club from the taped show arrangement into an actual full-time internet radio station. Mike is an Associate of Arts major with plans to transfer to the University of Akron for TV/Radio or Media Production.

All of the shows are unforgettable, so much so we have to lie on the sofa now and then to catch our breath. Check out why four years later, people STILL talk about The Mike and Mark Show... only on The Duck!
